Labor Day Weekend: Sept. 3, 4, 5 is a new opportunity for a great weekend of dancing.
Jerry Junck is featuring a “Fall Round Up” with dancing of Friday evening and all day Saturday, plus a Gospel
sing on Sunday morning! Joining Jerry for the weekend is Lynn Strobel, caller and Jo saffell Cuer. This the first
of hopefully and annual event. Take advantage of this special weekend!

Norfolk Single Wheelers are sponsoring another round of learning/renewing with Jerry Junck and Mary Chan-
ner-Paul as the callers/instructors. The lessons started Aug. 23 and will run through October. Got off to a
good and fun start As we all know and pay lip service to, we have to have new dancers if we want square danc-
ing to continue!

October 10, 2021 The Northeast Federation Fall Dance will be called by Bill Henke from the Rapid City, SD area
for “Apple Pickin’ Time”. Location is at the Laurel City Auditorium, 101 West 2nd., Laurel, NE from 2 –
4:30p.m. A meal consisting of Swiss steak and fixin’s catered by Jerry’s Hilltop will follow the dance. The meal
and dance are both included in the donation amount - $10 at the door, $7 if paid in advance. The afternoon
will also feature a pie auction.

August 6, 2021, Northeast Federation dancers and guests gathered at Pufahl Barn for the annual Picnic &
Open Mike/Amateur Night. A picnic pot luck with salads, baked beans, and fried chicken started the evening
off. Kenard Swift was a great MC for a very enjoyable evening of dancing. Special guest callers were Tony
Lund from Sioux Falls and James Gubbels from Pierce. Both did a super job – look forward to hearing more
from them in the future.

Town Twirlers – Laurel
Return from summer vacation on Sept. 12 with Kenard Swift calling; Then Sept. 26 brings Lanny Weaklend
comes a-calling; Oct. 24 showcases Bob Furr. All dances are 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Single Wheelers – Norfolk
September 7 Lanny Weaklend in calling; September 21 features Mary Channer-Paul calling; October 5 Kenard
Swift does the honors; October 19 will bring Jerry Junck to the mic. All dances are 7:30-9:30 p.m.
