Prairie Conclave is a fun weekend of learning and dancing.

It is a seminar type gathering held every two years to provide dancers, clubs and their current
and future leaders important timely information on how to SUPPORT, PROMOTE, STRENGTHEN
and MAINTAIN the Square and Round Dance program. Seminar sessions that
have be offered before are:

1. LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND INSURANCE (Why issue a 1099, what is ASCAP and BMI,
and why do I need extra insurance.)

2. COMPUTERS (How to make flyers, newsletters and advertisements).

3. PLANNING (What do I need to do for a demonstration, festival or convention)

4. LEADERSHIP (How do I get members to be officers, tips for leaders.)

5. RECRUITING (Where can I find new dancers),

6. RETENTION (How do I keep dancers in the club),

7. PROMOTION (How do I get my dances noticed and well attended)

8. PUBLICATIONS (What Square Dancing publications are out there and how do I get signed up?)

9. HOW TO CONDUCT A MEETING (Woodriver High School Parliamentarian Class, group session.)
