Duane is my dance partner/co-instructor. We have taught choreographed ballroom dancing; otherwise known as Round Dancing, together for 15 years. I have been dancing since 1975 and Duane since 1952. Duane has danced with Arthur Murray Studios, and taught a cha cha with Buddy Schwimmer (see wn.wikipedia.org/wiki/BUDDY_SCHWIMMER).
We belong to many dance associations: ICBTA ( International Choreographed Ballroom Teachers Association), Roundalab, and Nebraska Callers and Cuers Association. We have taught at state and national conventions. Together we have choreographed 6 dances, including rumba, cha cha, waltz, and swing.
We have expertise in all areas of ballroom dancing. We continue to take instruction ourselves to better improve our dancing and teaching ability. We currently teach on Thursday night in the Omaha area (2309 J Street in Council Bluffs) and want to encourage all interested to attend our dance night. We are also available for weekend travel to those interested.
